Passion Week Day 7 CHRIST IN THE TOMB The wicked understand little about the consequences of their sins while they’re committing them; they’re also totally unaw...are that the sentence for those sins will inescapably be imposed upon them. A large stone was rolled onto the entrance of Jesus’ tomb while a military guard was stationed outside. All this, in an effort to conceal any possibility of news of Christ’s resurrection. Even today, unbelievers untiringly scheme to make the news of His resurrection the best kept secret on earth. The Good News (the Gospel) is that we worship and serve a LIVING God, who’s resurrection can’t be concealed by a stone, nor negated by naysayers and political authorities. We are more than followers of Christ; we are His disciples as well. Our responsibility is to live a life that is worthy of Christ and to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. We had some great races today! A big thanks to everyone who helped put this together. From setting up the track, taking registration, helping the children put the finishing touches on their cars, cheering them on and staying up late to make sure everything was perfect for them- time invested in these young people’s lives is an investment well made! It is crucial that when our children look into our eyes, regardless of circumstances bearing down on them, what they see is somebody that believes in them.
