We encourage you to frequently try the Athens Department of Health, where they are giving 300 shots a day. Please visit publichealthathens.com or call (706) 340-0996 to register. Also, please continue to check on the Kroger and Publix websites. Availability varies throughout the state, and you can register at any location regardless of where you live.... COVID-19 vaccine update: The Kroger in Loganville is no longer scheduling vaccinations, as they have booked appointments for their entire first shipment. The Publix in Loganville currently has vaccine availability. Please visit publix.com/covidvaccine to schedule an appointment.

We are thrilled to announce that another wonderful provider will be joining the OFHC family. Dr. Donny Delp came to learn of Our Family Health Center through our Nurse Practitioner Scottie Tuttle. They practiced together at Bridgewater Family Practice from 2013 to 2019. Dr. Delp completed his undergrad studies at the University of Georgia and attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Delp to Our Family Healt...h Center! His experience and dedication to his patients will make him a great addition to our team. During the week of December 20th, all of the providers at Our Family Health Center received their COVID-19 vaccines. In an effort to encourage everyone to get vaccinated (once available), they wanted to share their side effects. Each of them experienced soreness similar to a bruise at the injection site, and several had general muscle soreness for a few days. Dr. Plaster described it as waking up after a big workout day, when your muscles are sore yet not painful. Two of the... providers had a low-grade fever of less than 100 degrees for less than 24 hours, and their symptoms were relieved with Tylenol. This vaccine has been thoroughly and comprehensively developed, and nationwide participation in the vaccination program is vital to our emergence from this terrible pandemic. So please, once it becomes widely available, get yourself vaccinated! We will continue to provide updates concerning vaccine rollout and availability over the coming weeks and months.
