Project Safe is looking to hire for the part-time position of Night and Weekend Advocate. Responsibilities include evening and weekend hotline coverage and shelter operations. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Residents and Staff are asked to practice mask wearing, social distancing, consistent handwashing, along with specific cleaning and sanitizing of the work environment. To ensure every parent/guardian and child’s needs are met, it’s vital all advocates represent Project Safe well in their daily interactions with residents, staff/volunteers, and other partnering agencies throughout the community, with thoughtful evaluation, encouraging collaboration, and careful stewardship. Dear Project Safe Donors and Supporters: We recently posted a needs list for an expectant mother whose daughter is due at the end of January. We now have a new 4-day-old baby boy who is also in need of all the items a newborn requires. If you can help us source items for both of these new mothers, we’d greatly appreciate your help!... Specific items include: Bottle Warmers Bath Tubs Baby Swings Bath Towels Blankets Onesies Diapers Socks, Mittens & Hats Dreft Laundry Soap Bottles & Bottle Cleaning Kits Diaper Bags Breast Pumps & Nursing Supplies Hygeiene Kits & First Aid Kits This is the wish list for these new mothers, but if those parents out there know of other small items that have been helpful in your own process of becoming a parent, we will gladly take them.
