Are you a parent or caregiver of a child with extensive support needs (e.g., intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, autism, and pervasive support needs.) who has been offered any form of distance learning? Share your experience! The purpose of this survey is to gain an understanding of the unique needs and desires of parents of children with extensive support needs during distance learning in the time of COVID-19. With the looming possibility of extended periods of ...distance learning, it is essential that the educators, school administrators, and those involved in teacher preparation understand parent needs and desires for the facilitation of successful distance learning. This information will help develop professional development for teachers, and prepare future teachers to design accessible distance learning opportunities for families and students with extensive support needs. Please consider completing this 10-20 minute survey. Within the survey, you may also volunteer for a 30 minute interview. Your experiences may provide valuable information to guide the design of accessible distance learning for families.
