In other news, we're still out of peppermint syrup (). It was... on the truck for delivery since Friday, but I finally gave up and ordered more. I don't know if we'll get it before Christmas, but at least we'll have plenty for the rest of Winter Sorry, y'all. I really did order it before we ran out. Y'all! My kids know Mommy and Daddy need coffee before anybody gets to open a single present on Christmas morning. Apparently, there are some people (they have their lives more together than me obviously) who actually manage to make breakfast like real adults on Christmas morning. Who knew that was a thing? I don’t know if it’s appropriate to wish someone a Happy International Coffee Day, but we’re doing it because 2020 has been rough and something needs celebrating So join us in celebrating International Coffee Day on Tuesday, September 29. Fall is here, and so is our fall drink menu. Stop by and try our signature pumpkin pie latte, best served hot, but it’s pretty tasty iced or as a frappe, too. It’s made with creamy pumpkin pie syrup, salted caramel sauce, and topped wit...h a drizzle of sweet caramel and a dash of fragrant cinnamon. The cranberry orange muffin is the perfect sweet treat to pair with it. In other news, THE ELECTRICITY IS FIXED! Special thanks to my friend and trusty electrician for coming out on short notice and working in the rain to get it fixed. We are truly blessed to have such great friends and to be able to serve such an awesome community. Thank you all for your patience while we got it straightened out.

We have a temporary solution to the electrical problem! I guess the wire that carries the main load for the lights and several outlets was nicked at some point and finally gave up the ghost. We’ve had the devil of a time trying to find a replacement. Apparently there’s an aluminum shortage, and guess what outdoor service wire is made of... who knew?! We’ll be open tomorrow, but the lighting will be set to cozy until my electrician finishes up. Thank goodness, Sallie (the espresso machine) and Curtis (the coffee maker) are working just fine, so we can make sure everyone is sufficiently caffeinated to start the week.

We were so pleased to host ALL FOUR agencies this morning at the event. The Chiefs from Rincon, Springfield, and Guyton showed up, and even Sheriff McDuffie made an appearance. We didn’t get to meet Snitch, but Sgt. Hayes was there to meet the littles and answer questions. Thank you to the community for showing up, and a huge thank you from me to the anonymous donor who covered the coffee and pastries. Thank you to the Police Departments and Sheriff’s Office for taking time out of their schedule to be present and accessible for the citizens of Effingham County. You all consistently make me feel so humble and appreciative for the things you do for our community.
