If you are a real estate agent or a buyer or seller and get a septic report that involves expensive repairs don't hesitate to call your county environmental health dept and ask them about what is being proposed. There are too many dirty companies that ransom a closing for there own gains. Please share

Lately I have been swamped with calls. Good problem to have. Here's the thing ...If you want a good company to service your tank don't wait until an emergency and say it hasn't needed pumping in 20 or whatever years. It needs pumping every 3-5 yrs!!! If you maintain your tank you're more likely to get a quality company to pump it. If you wait til an emergency you will get stuck with a "shit" company that wants deep into your pockets. Their only goal is to get the price as high as possible not tend to your needs.

I find reviews to be important however some people write such vague reviews with no real understanding of the situation. Like this 5 star review .... If i could give them more than 5 stars i would. They came up with a great idea to save us money on our project. overall they just do excellent work. What was the situation? What did they recommend? Was what they recommended within code ? ... Some companies recommend things not endorsed by the state like adding chemicals to your field lines to "revive" them. Don't be afraid to call your local health dept to see if what is recommended is a viable solution

I think I'm beginning to appreciate these lowball companies that jack the price up once they get there. Getting some quality calls as a result of it...

So lets say your field lines aren't working . If a company tells you they can put something in the field lines to get them working again, kick them off your property . Once field lines have failed you need new ones. The health dept. does not endorse any of that and they are the ones that renew our licenses and provide our continuing education.

If your house is 20 yrs old or younger there are 2 lids to access to clean your septic tank. Some yp to 25 yrs. If both lids are not accessed you might as well just hand over the money without pumping it. It will be just about as useful.

I know I've mentioned pricing before. If you're calling around to get prices ask what is included in the price. You'll be amazed how that low price disappears.

Maintanance is key to keeping a healthy septic system. Sludgy water clogs up field lines over time. Pumping a septic tank is like changing the oil in your car. Maintain every 3-5 yrs and keep ypur system healthy.
