swipe for a not so subliminal message... SELLERS: part of making it in real estate is KNOWING WHEN TO SELL! right now inventory is L O W- which translates to: multiple offer situations, buyers willing to come down from their position (settling for 7/10 things your home meets on their checklist), less critiquing + more buying! We are hearing daily inventory is low, which means when YOU LIST NOW you have LESS COMPETITION! Now is the time to #listit we’d say things are picking up, but the reality is they’ve never really slowed down! with the right agent, you can SAFELY list your home during covid-19 fears! so, what are you waiting for? list any fears you may have here and we have a ton of agent friends who would love to chime in and help! want to stay anonymous? chat with us in our stories! let’s hear your concerns! @ Parast Law

This is not an April Fools' joke- Georgia can FINALLY DO VIRTUAL CLOSINGS! AND WE ARE READY AND DID OUR FIRST TODAY! On Tuesday, March 31, 2020, Governor Kemp issued an Executive Order permitting electronic notary following his previous order on Friday allowing attorneys to participate in closings via remote access. This Executive Order completes the missing link for virtual closings by allowing them to be done remotely during this Public Health State of Emergency, keeping a...ll parties to the closing transaction safe. We have fully prepared our staff to readily provide this feature without compromising quality or any overlooked details for upcoming closings on our calendar, guaranteeing that our lenders will still get perfect packages upon completion of signing! No hiccups or road bumps here- we are ready for all of your closings! Who else is super excited about this feature? See more

We promised we would keep you posted as more recommendations and guidelines came in regarding this pandemic. We have updated our previous policy by adding we reserve the right to limit the number of people in our office to stay under the recommended suggestion of less than 10 people in a gathering. This may mean making the uncomfortable decision to not attend closing, even if you really want to for moral support. We are happy to explain our protocol to your clients for further understanding. This may also mean requesting the buyers and sellers sign separately. Again, please be kind and patient with everyone as we navigate all these nuances and figure out how to best protect everyone we come in contact with, including our own team. Thank you! @ Parast Law

To our community: As we continue to monitor the coronavirus news carefully, we wanted to share the actions we feel responsible taking to keep our office safe for you. While some may say it’s over the top, we find no harm in practicing safe closings after following the latest guidance from the CDC, WHO, local governments, and public health agencies. We cannot be successful without your help. If you or a client has any reason to feel under the weather please encourage them to explore the other options we are providing, as we hope to avoid risking our employees and other guests to any potential sickness when it’s entirely avoidable. Feel free to share this info with your friends/clients/other agents to adopt the same precautionary measures. Thank you so much for your cooperation! @ Parast Law

April 1, 2020 is the deadline to file for homestead exemption! Applications are filed with your County Tax Office. The state offers basic homestead exemptions to taxpayers that qualify, but your county may offer more beneficial exemptions. Whether you are filing for the homestead exemptions offered by the State or county, you should contact the tax commissioner or the tax assessor's office in your county for more information or clarification about qualifying for homestead exemption.
