Thin Blue Defend 17h After investigating many use-of-force cases with the GBI and assisting attorneys in representing officers charged with crimes in perfor...mance of their duties, I developed the first mobile app for police officers to immediately begin documenting an incident, if involved in one. It is in anticipation of possible civil and criminal charges. The app is designed with ques in many prepared categories that should assist in the officer's defense. It utilizes touch check boxes, drop downs or accessing the audio and camera from the officer's cellphone thus eliminating the officer having to type in any text while at the scene. Even the emergency contact phone numbers are one-touch to access the phone for making calls once the scene is safe. The app can only be installed on a personal cellphone and not one issued by any federal, state, parish, county or city cellphone and the officer’s personal email should be used to sign up for the app. The information created by the officer can be sent by email to the attorney on record.
