Yesterday we had the honor of celebrating #WorldBeeDay with the Consulate General of Ireland in Atlanta. Our beekeeper, Edward, and our Lead Gardner, Taffany, lead a private tour in our Belvedere Peace Garden in Decatur. We are excited to collaborate with them to educate others about the importance of bees.

It’s #WorldBeeDay. Bees & other pollinators are increasingly under threat from human activities. Pollination is a fundamental process for the survival of our ecosystems. To raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face, and their contribution to sustainable development, the United Nations designated 20 May as World Bee Day. We can help protect bees by supporting beekeepers by planting native flowers, buying raw honey from local farmers, and not using pesticides.
