This is our own Emily Isenberg Knapp- this event is at her studio here in Dallas, NOT at the Historic Courthouse Gallery & Studios. Emily is a very talented ceramic artist, you will love her work! Great for gifts. She is also showcasing the work of some other local artists. Should be a fun event!

It’s a wrap on Mrs. B’s 2020 art classes! If your child aged 7 to 12 is interested in art and you are looking for a local class, please email us at [email protected] and give us your information and Mrs. B will contact you! Put 7-12 Children Classes in your subject. Her classes have a LOT of fun and do interesting and creative projects each week!

So...on Wednesday, December 2nd PFAA held our annual Christmas Party. Due to current factors the turn out was very small and instead of a pot luck dinner we opted for cupcakes and coffee. But those in attendance kept their distance as best they could and every one had a great time with the fun gift exchange (or some like to call it Dirty Santa)

From the Shapes & Shadows Pastel Workshop with Gary Baughman which was held October 24th at the Historic Courthouse Gallery & Studios. Everyone did a great job and learned some valuable information about pastels, shapes and shadows

The Wednesday morning Oil Painting class with Gary Baughman did this fun challenge today. 8 artists, 8 canvases. We all painted our portion based on our piece of a cut up print. We did not know what the finished piece would be, much less look like. Once we all had our canvases finished (and time was called ) we put the canvases together and this was the result! What a great exercise in painting just shapes and values. By the way, the print was of a watercolor and we wer...e painting in oil! Today’s oil painting class was a little different challenge. Gary brought in a print for us to replicate. But wait-there’s more! Before he got here he cut it into 8 equal pieces and provided us each with a 11 x 14 canvas. We picked a piece of the picture (pieces were face down) and started painting. We had no idea what the finished piece would be!
