Paulding Judicial Circuit Drug Court Graduation Congratulations to Drug Court Graduates Tabitha Bozeman, Ashley Fowler, Kristen Hooks, Tyler Palmer, Teresa Power, and Amber Landers White. This graduation was a bit different with COVID-19 restrctions. Aside from photos, masks were worn, the ceremony was broadcast via Zoom as people were encouraged to view from home, and social distancing was practiced. ... A special thanks to Chief Forrest Lane, the Paulding Legislative Delegation, Paulding BOC, Sheriff Gulledge, District Attorney Dick Donovan, Public Defender Angela O’Connor, Tabitha Pollard and the entire Drug Court Team.

Congratulations to Paulding County Assistant District Attorney’s Amber Cook and Kim Kirby on successfully completing their #PACBasicLitigation course! Basic Litigation is a 5 day course provided by the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center required for all new prosecuting attorneys. Their mission is to develop aggressive, professional and effective trial prosecutors who will persuade by establishing credibility and trust. T...he course utilizes some of the top prosecutors in the state of Georgia to instruct students on trial preparation, pre-trial hearings, and how to conduct a trial from start to finish through practice and feedback. One of the instructors is Paulding’s very own Chief Assistant District Attorney Matthew Rollins, pictured below alongside Amber Cook to the left and Kim Kirby to the right. #PACTraining
Murder Arrest Made in Domestic Dispute (Paulding County, GA) On Sunday June 7, 2020 at approximately 7:29 PM a 911 call was placed to Paulding E-911 reference a... person shot at 99 Summer Glen Trail Dallas, GA 30157. When Deputies arrived on the scene they located the victim, Kevin Mack Murr, (W-M, 56 YOA), deceased inside the residence. Evidence at the scene suggested that Murr died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies were able to interview all of the parties at the residence and determined that the suspect, identified as Clark Chandler Anderson (W/M, 22 YOA), was alleged to have shot the victim. Anderson is the son of the victim’s girlfriend. Detectives learned that after some type of domestic dispute occurred between Anderson and Murr, Anderson retrieved a handgun from a room inside the residence and fired multiple rounds at Murr striking him several times. Deputies were able to arrest Anderson on the scene without incident. Anderson was subsequently charged with the following offenses: -Murder (F) -Malice Murder (F) -Aggravated Assault (F) 2 counts -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime (F) -Hindering a 911 Call (M) Anderson is currently being held in the Paulding County Jail with no bond. #PauldingSheriff
Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia Teams up with Paulding DA’s Office for Gang Related Murder Gang Resource Prosecutor John A. Regan, with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia, visited the office today to assist Chief Assistant District Attorney Matthew Rollins of the Paulding Judicial Circuit, with the preparation of a trial on a 2018 gang related murder. Although, there has been a statewide judicial emergency in place since March, the Paulding DA’s office ...as well as PACGA staff have been diligently working on cases, preparing for future trials, continuing our legal education, and keeping in touch with victims of crime. We are continuing to hold first appearance, bond, revocation hearings and arraignments while adhering to CDC and Georgia DPH guidelines. With the constant flow of new cases coming in despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the labor of prosecution hasn’t ceased. We are still here, behind the scenes, seeking justice and serving the citizens of Paulding County.
