The fall festival begins in a few moments! Join us! (11am - 1 pm)
Advent begins Sunday and so does a new series in the Gospel of Luke. Luke’s gospel has been called ‘the most beautiful book in the world.’ The writing is fresh and creative, containing the finest Greek in the New Testament. It’s a large book. God the Holy Spirit entrusted Luke to writing more of the New Testament than any other writer. It contains the greatest history ever written and we have it! It is the story of God’s divine rescue mission, providing us with a vivid picture of what Jesus means when he says that he has come to seek and save the lost (19:10). There’s not a better way to begin the Advent season than in Luke. Make plans to join us!
Fall Festival tomorrow, 11-1. Come on out!

Awesome night at youth group!
On Saturday, November 7th, our ladies enjoyed chatting over yummy Danny’s Donuts, followed by Sydney Phillips sharing the sweet testimony of her salvation in college. Then we divided into small groups for an outdoor prayer walk and lifted up the ministries of our church, our church family, our country, and community. It was wonderful to have young and old alike joining in prayer and community!
Reminder: The First Wednesday Prayer Gathering is this evening, 6:30-7:30. Join us for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Hope to see you soon! "The tree of the promise will not drop its fruit, unless shaken by the hand of prayer." ~ Thomas Watson
Today, we go to the voting booth to exercise a privilege and duty of liberty. For the Christian, the option not to vote isn't an option. Voting is a God-given duty. How then should we vote? Paul said, whatever we do we are to do it "as unto the Lord" (Col. 3:23). Vote as a God-fearing man or woman. Vote as your faith informs your conscience. And then, meditate on the biblical truths expressed in the Heidelberg catechism: "our only comfort" is not in princes, presidents, or judges. Our only comfort in life and death is in belonging to the Lord Jesus, the One who governs all things in heaven and earth (Mt. 28:18). What a Savior, what a King! Pastor Stacey Reminder: the church sanctuary is open 10 Am - 4 Pm today to pray for our nation and the election. Prayer guides are available at the sanctuary entrances.
"If we would talk less and pray more about them, things would be better than they are in the world: at least, we should be better enabled to bear them" (John Owen). Join us this evening 6:30-7:30 for our First Wednesday Prayer Gathering!

As you can tell, our Fall Country Roads Tour was lots of fun! Our ladies enjoyed the good food and variety at Fender's 50's Diner in Cornelia on Saturday, the 19th. Who knew that a "cathead biscuit" or a double pimento cheeseburger or a Mama Mia Skillet Lasagna could be so tasty? Lots of great conversation, laughter, and even some good prayer time with one of our servers was the order of the day! Sorry there are no pics from our time later in Clarkesville! We were too busy... shopping! Thanking the Lord for a great Fall day of sweet fellowship together!

The Women2Women of Westminster certainly enjoyed the poolside Lunch on the Lanai at the beautiful home of Jim & Marci Knauss. We were blessed with great weather and food, a fun hula hoop competition (Deena Barrett is a natural!) and a joyous time of reconnecting in a safe outdoor setting. Kim Couch reminded us of some of the poignant challenges found in Luke 5, while several ladies gave invitations to a host of Fall studies, outreach, service & fellowship opportunities. Ladies, if you couldn’t join us, there will be extra brochures for you to pick up at the Welcome Desk on Sunday! Praising God for a great Saturday together and many thanks to all who helped! New series in 1 John kicks off today. Join us at 11 am or online at https://youtu.be/GMON7sheVoQ!
He was a hot-headed young man, given to sharp and impulsive utterances with a tendency toward blowing off steam. But he became the apostle of love, noted for his gentleness, graciousness and goodness. His name was John. It’s this John who penned from Ephesus the letter we know as 1 John. John writes with one primary concern real Christianity! What’s real Christianity? How can I tell if I have Christ living in me? What difference does it all make in a life, in a gospel church, in the community? The whole book of 1 John was written that you might concretely know the answers to these questions. What’s at stake? Eternity, personal happiness and holiness, gospel-shaped fellowship. In a word, everything. Beginning August 16, we dive into our Fall Study, 1 John: Real Christianity!
Beautiful day of worship at Westminster! A joy to apply the sacrament of baptism to Benjamin Kwakombe and to welcome him and Josh Oropeza into the church’s fellowship! Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
