We are under contract for a new office building. It is much larger (3622 sq ft), off street parking (20 spaces) and built as office. Centrally located at 1901 Abercorn (between 35 & 36 Streets). Hope to move in by the end of Septemeber.

Coronavirus and Court As you must know by now, almost every aspect of our lives has been impacted by the new coronavirus. Here in Savannah our Courts have pretty much ground to a halt. Having jury trials would mean having hundreds of people come into close contact in large groups for jury selection. This would be extremely dangerous given the current health crisis. Wisely, all jury trials have been delayed until at least mid-April, and my guess is that the del...ay will extend into the fall. Unfortunately crimes, major and minor, will continue to occur. If someone in your family gets arrested, here is what to expect: misdemeanor offenders will, at least for now, be booked, and bonded out as quickly as possible. People charged with a felony offense will still receive a preliminary appearance within 72 hours so a Judge can determine whether or not bond should be allowed. Our Judges are working through this crisis and are trying to handle much of the necessary work and court appearances by video and/or telephonic means. These are difficult times. If you have a legal emergency there are ways to get it handled. Our firm will remain open to help with your legal problems during this crisis. We will personally handle your criminal matter or your claim for personal injury and will do so throughout this difficult period. What a Pleasant Surprise We just learned that out of all the law firms in Savannah, Phillips Carson & Phillips was Voted Runner Up as Best Law Firm in Savannah. We had no idea we were even under consideration as we have been so very busy serving our clients, in and out of the courtroom. This is indeed a real honor and a welcomed surprise.... Justice Served Again. Today partner Boone Phillips was relieved when a jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty in a case involving allegations of burglary and aggravated assault. The case appeared strong at the outset and yesterday the client initially opted to accept the State's plea offer; however during the providency inquiry the defendant was unable to admit his guilt, rather he claimed he was innocent. The Judge ordered that the trial proceed and after two days of eviden...ce, the State and the Defense rested. After a fairly short deliberation the jury returned with its Not Guilty verdict. The Defendant and his family were ecstatic. The case involved a boyfriend - ex-girlfriend situation and according to trial observers Boone's cross examination of the ex-girlfriend saved the day. Congratulations to Attorney Boone Phillips on a job exceptionally well done. See more
