There are a plethora of careers in this world. Some are done for riches, some for position, and others because they make the world a better place. One career that makes our community of Perry a better place is law enforcement. Law enforcement provides employees with long nights, dangerous environments, an essential presence, and the ability to change lives. One officer that is near and dear to the hearts of those at Perry Middle School is Officer Drica Gary with the Perry... Police Department. Office Gary has been at Perry Middle School for 2 years serving as a School Resource Officer (SRO). She is such a positive presence within the school. Her rapport can be seen with both students and faculty. As a small token of appreciation, for Officer Gary and the other Perry Police Officers, Dr. Diana Phillips (Perry Middle School FBLA Adviser) had her FBLA officers put together 32 goodie bags one for each officer on patrol. The bags were delivered to the Perry Police Department by Dr. Phillips on January 8th, 2021. Each bag included mints, tissue, peanuts, and lip balm with a tag explaining each item. See more

It's Law Enforcement Officer Appreciation Day, and we want to thank our School Resource Officer, Officer Gary. We appreciate your hard work and the sacrifices you make daily for our students and staff. Thanks for all you do!

Basketball pictures will be Wednesday, January 13 at 3:00pm for all four teams. Practice will take place afterwards (boys practice first next week, and girls practice second). Girls will stay at school after pictures are taken. The link to order and pay will be posted as soon as it’s available.
