Just a Dog..... From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog," or "that's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance ...traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure and unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of "just a dog," I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog," but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a man/woman." So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog," just smile--because they "just don't understand.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you once again to each and everyone of you that came in and supported this veteran owned business. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love the most in life which is hanging out and working with dogs! I love everything about these wonderful, loving, and amazing creatures and I know that our clientele does too! Fur-Baby have some amazing pack members that are so loved by their humans. I witness it on a daily basis here and know that these furbabies are in good hands. Unfortunately, there are so many furbabies out there that will never experience the kind of love and attention that our pack members receive and it truly does break my heart. Dogs are a big part of my life and have done so much for me. I couldn’t imagine my life without them. This is why I always strive to pass the blessings we get from the support of FBPS forward to help these displaced pets whenever I can. I love being able to sponsor and helped as many as i could get adopted into their fur-ever home throughout the years that we have been in business. I will continue to do so for as long as we can. Currently, we have been hosting Free-Me Friday’s for the last few weeks and got some of them out from the shelters for a day at Fur-Baby Pet Services where they get the full treatment of play, groom, and lots of love. This week, we are hosting #Latte and #Cisco. Usually I would just do a post just pertaining to the current week FMF pups but I wanted to consolidate the other Free-Me Friday’s pups that are still waiting for someone to free them permanently into their hearts and home as well because I won’t be able to host anymore for awhile due to other obligations coming up. #Frankie #Smiley #Alex #Honey #Mauka #Lucy #PJ as well as #Latte and #Cisco are all ready for their fur-ever home. I want to get all these furbabies adopted while I have the time because starting the new year, I would be restarting my academic journey of fulfilling my dream of becoming a veterinarian and will be attending school full time on top of running FBPS and raising a family. My plate is extremely full for awhile and who knows when I would be able to work with these displaced dogs again but I want to end the year strong by getting all of them adopted. Please give these furbabies a chance at love and a life they deserve by opening up your heart and home. All these furbabies are sweet and have a lot of potential to be great companions. All they’re lacking is an opportunity and if anyone is willing, I would like to sponsor 2 weeks of training for each FMF pups that are still available for adoption to help both dog and human build the strongest of bond. Totally Free! Only stipulation is that you have to officially adopt them by Thanksgiving Day 2020 so that we can fulfill our end of the bargain by the end of the year. Free-Me Friday furbabies #Lucy & #PJ is all freshen up and are ready for their fur-ever home! They are at our facility getting loved on until 5pm today before h...eading back to the Humane Society of Harris County to continued to wait for someone to free them into their heart and home. Please come get these babies! They’re sweet and would love a chance to show you. Even if you can’t give them a permanent home, you can help free these unfortunate pets from the shelter by fostering them until they get one. It could just be only a day, a week, a month, or a lifetime. Whatever you could do will make a big difference in their lives. We like to believe that something is always better than nothing and any opportunity to be in a loving home will help them develop the skills they need to be great loving pets once they are permanently adopted. Pet Cremation Services of Columbus has teamed up with East Alabama Humane Society to help gather much needed supplies for some of the fur babies in our community. EAHS is in need of donations to take the best possible care of all the fur babies in their care. If you can’t afford to buy anything during these hard times, we will also accept any beds, blankets, toys, collars, leashes etc. that your baby has outgrown or no longer needs. Thank you so much for your help in this matter.
