It is that time of year for holiday baking and comfort foods. Here is a family favorite of ours past down from our moms! I know it by heart. Share your favorite recipe with us!! Poppy Seed Chicken... 4 cups of cooked shredded chicken ( I usually boil chicken breasts til they are done and shred it) 2 cans of cream of chicken soup 8 oz of real sour cream 2 sleeves of ritz crackers / crushed up to cup of butter melted 1 teaspoon poppy seed Preheat oven to 350* combine chicken, soup, and sour cream all together. Go ahead and put in some salt and pepper..then spread it in a casserole baking dish. I use 9x13. Spread ritz on top of casserole and then drizzle with the butter. is a good amount but if you want to use less butter you can. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top. Usually about 30 minutes until it is good and bubbly. This is wonderful served over rice! Super easy to double the recipe as well to have left overs!!!
