Forgive others but take it a step further. Don’t just stop with forgiveness and think you’re off the hook. Jesus says, Love your enemies and pray for those who... persecute you. (Matthew 5:44). It’s not enough simply to forgive people when they have wronged you. God wants you to learn to respond to evil with good and bless those who hurt you and try to destroy you. If that coworker is out to destroy you, you pray for their good. If that relative is doing some shady stuff, you pray for their good. Why? Because thinking and living like Jesus will bring healing and calmness and restoration to your soul. Live stress free! Forgive others! Let it go! Bless others! Pray for others! See more

Don’t be so shallow in your understanding. Romans 12:11 says, Never be lazy, but work hard, serving the Lord enthusiastically. Here’s my beef: Some people onl...y equate serving the Lord to a church building. But don’t be so shallow in your understanding. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means serving well in your career or on your job. That means getting to work on time, getting along with your coworkers, and doing good work while you’re on your job. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means keeping your house clean and the outside of your house neat and in order, whether you have to pay somebody to do that for you or whether you do it all by yourself. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means doing your best work in school. You may not be an all A student but strive to do your best. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means making that tackle on the football field or doing whatever you have to do to help your team win the game. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means practicing your craft and playing that instrument the best you can. Serving the Lord enthusiastically means serving and loving your spouse unconditionally. Don’t just equate serving the Lord enthusiastically only to a church building. But allow your work, your character, your attitude and your disposition to show others that you serve the Lord enthusiastically in all that you do. See more

God has no past, no beginning, no future or no ending. Everything is in the eternal present with Him. God told Moses in Exodus 3:14 to tell the people I AM WHO... I AM. What a powerful name! It’s the personal name of God, the one we transliterate as Yahweh! The name is in the present tense. That means we serve a God who is in the present tense. If you’re in need of help, God is your help right now. If you’re in need of a miracle, God is your miracle. If you need strength, God is your strength. If you're facing a difficult task, God is your sufficiency. Whatever you are standing in need of today, God is whatever you need right now. See more

Many people get in the race and get out because they are surprised and shocked when they run into opposition. Oftentimes people say I’m quitting the race becau...se people don’t like me. Or I’m throwing in the towel because somebody lied on me. Or, I’m giving up because people are talking about me. Imagine a basketball player going to the basketball court and all of sudden quits the game because he was fouled during the game or the defender gave him a hard time in the game. Imagine the football player going to the football field and quits the game because he was tackled. Let me put something in your ear: if you’re breathing today, expect to be fouled. Expected to be tackled. In other words, expect to be criticized. Expect to be talked about. Expect haters. But the good news is God got your back. Matthew 5:11 God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers." Hang in there. See more
