Come out on the 16th and listen to our living historians talk about clothing during the 1860s. Program will be from 10 to 2 behind the Visitor Ctr.
Welcome aboard to our new site manager!
We had a great turn out for our soap-making day at Pickett's Mill yesterday. Thank you to Tom and Cindy for all the work you put into researching and building the new Ash Hopper! Our next Civilian Program will be on November 21st. We will be working on some hand made gift preparations. We will have Lucy with her hand crank sewing machine making dolls, and hopefully a woodworker using period tools to create gifts for his family and some other period crafts to demonstrate.
Ed Bearss was a legend. His tireless work to protect and preserve Civil War historic sites was his life's passion. We are saddened to hear of his passing today. Rest in peace Sir. https://www.facebook.com/53701340689/posts/10158488407035690/
