The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is open for membership for the 2019-2020 season for TRAINERS, INSTRUCTORS, and YOUTH RIDERS and we have a SPOT for you! Join nearly 14,000 IEA members nationwide who ride and coach HUNT SEAT, WESTERN and DRESSAGE. * Open to riders in grades 4-12 who have at least one year of professional riding instruction. * Horse and tack are provided for all competitions. * Riders compete using a draw-based format similar to the collegiate riding programs. * 5 ABILITY LEVELS for each discipline (Intro, Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Open) * NEW Walk/Trot (Walk/Jog) classes available for all grades. * Riders not only compete for individual points, but also team points and the format is a perfect way to prepare serious athletes for a collegiate future in equestrian sports. * Over 1,550 IEA teams nationwide throughout 11 Zones. * Starting a team requires only 3 members in either Middle School (grades 6-8) or High School (grades 9-12). * Introductory classes available for riders in grades 4-5. * TEAM MEMBERSHIP DEADLINE for the 2019-2020 Season is November 1, 2019.
