FYI Christians: I am seeing a lot of Christians accepting all of these New Age teachings for peace and cleanliness of their homes from evil or dark energy and... spirits. There is no biblical basis for belief in smudge sticks, auras, vibes, or household energy. The Bible tells us that God protects His children from evil (2 Thessalonians 3:3). We have no need to smudge; in fact, smudging is sin. We do not trust in pagan rituals but in God our Savior. God is the source of life, of all that is good and true. God promises, The Lord will keep you from all harmhe will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:78). He will provide the strength and peace we need to make it through any test. When you place these things in the place of God, you give yourself over to Idolatry. Just because it is out there doesn’t mean you should do it. In recent times I have dealt with Christians trying to rid their home of evil spirit by burning sage. The devil cannot be made to flee with smoldering sage; our refuge is the Lord alone (see Psalm 4:8). God provides us with powerful tools to fend off the enemy’s spiritual attacks (Ephesians 6:1017). Smudging is not one of those tools. Please do not fall into these traps. You are opening the door for more spiritual attacks on you and your family. Sometimes the devil will not torment you but he will torment your children. Jesus Christ cast out devils. The anointing is fragrance enough. It is the anointing that destroys the yokes of bondage. As a believer you already have been given the authority to cast out devils in Jesus’ name. You may bot know that and it may not be effective because of what you have let in. Please find yourself a bible teaching church and people of God who have experience in these matters. Put your faith in God. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues Mark 16:17 See more
