The Puckett EMS team is beginning to receive their vaccines for COVID-19! Our EMS family is rolling up our sleeves to be ready for 2021. The available vaccines are safe and effective, and our team members are getting vaccinated to protect their patients, coworkers, friends and families. Thank you to the government officials, public health departments and hospital partners that are helping us get these important vaccines to our crew members.... All too often, we see the end result of opioid abuse when we respond to the scene of an emergency call for a patient who has overdosed. This holiday season, we’re proud to be a part of the educational effort to reduce drug-related tragedies in our community. It’s our honor to partner with Cobb Community Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse and their talented staff who recently produced a public service announcement that addresses opioid abuse. CCAPSA was awarded a drug-free community grant from the White House and its Office of National Drug Control Policy, which was used to fund the PSA. Congratulations to Training Manager Krista Tillman on receiving the 2020 Distinguished Service Award from the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce at their annual Public Safety luncheon. Krista well deserves this award for her outstanding contributions to our company, her EMS colleagues and to the community. Way to go, Krista!
