Hello, although Gov. Kemp has reopened much of the state, my business will remain closed for the time being. I am not able to maintain social distancing of 6 feet between myself and a testing client and do not feel that it is yet safe to operate. I will re-evaluate this situation in early May, as I am a "vulnerable individual" as per the official definition. Thanks for your patience, and let's all use common sense and stay safe out there.

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but wanted to give a quick update on my business during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am currently sheltering in place at home as per the Governor's orders. Because I primarily do psychological testing that is not amenable to telehealth, my office is closed until further notice. When State Officials deem it safe to reopen, I will do so. I hope that will be sooner rather than later, but safety is my primary concern at this difficult time. I will post again with updates when I have any news to share.

Remember, we cannot schedule you until payment has been received (JATP Policy)! I still have openings, but do not delay! You don't want to be left out in the cold!

Well, hello, everyone! It's now officially Admissions season, and all systems are "go" for JATP testing. If you're thinking about it already, you are ahead of the game. You early birds will get great time slots for testing and won't have to worry about winter weather, the flu, or any other potential problems that occur later in the season. So, visit www.jatp.org and follow the procedure listed there to get registered. As soon as we receive your application/registration form, we'll get back with you to give you the Paypal link and to get you scheduled. Looking forward to meeting you and your child(ren)!

Can you believe it's February already? Now is your last chance to get your JATP testing completed before school deadlines pass. Although the official deadline is February 9, the majority of schools extend the deadline by a week or more. Simply follow the procedure listed on the JATP website and we will send you a link for payment. Happy fall! You might be emerging from Back to School craziness and starting to think about applications now. In addition to the information contained in my most recent post regarding the application process, I offer an additional tip. Be VERY cautious when listening to the parent grapevine. There is a lot of misinformation out there. There is NO advantage to waiting until winter to test, regardless of your child's age. As children age, they are expected to know more be...cause the normative group to whom they are compared ages right along with them. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to wait until Dec/Jan/Feb to test. I have lots of openings in Oct/Nov. Take advantage and be done with this requirement! You'll thank me later when there are snow days and flu going around. Pass the word so that we can get accurate information out! See more

Hi again! The updated JATP website is now live (https://jatp.org) and has all the info you need regarding this year's registration process. Please read those directions carefully; I won't reproduce them here. After we receive your registration, watch for an email from us with a link to pay your fee. We'll then contact you to make an appointment time. ***As a reminder, testing begins October 1. There's NO advantage to waiting until winter to test. Knock this requirement out in the fall before you get busy for the holidays. You'll thank yourself later while you're filling out applications and attending Open Houses and school observations/interviews.

Happy back to school! The JATP schools will soon update the JATP website (www.jatp.org), and it will contain instructions for booking appointments to test for the 2018-2019 school year. The exciting news this year is that the option for online electronic payment will be available. So, you will choose a psychologist and then submit your completed JATP Testing Application electronically and email it to the psychologist. Following receipt of your application, I will send you an email with a link for payment via PayPal. After both application and payment are received, my scheduler will contact you to set up an appointment time and to answer your questions. This is a new procedure this year, so be patient with us as we get used to it as well. Looking forward to meeting you and your child this year!

It's summertime and the living is easy. But, admissions season will be upon us soon. If you're putting in last minute applications for 2017-2018, I'm available to help and can get you in and out quickly. If you're an early bird applying for 2018-2019, you're a little early just yet. There will be some procedural changes for our next testing season, so watch this spot and I'll update you closer to September. Testing for 2018-2019 begins October 1.
