Here's an important tip for the beginner dancer. There are many variations of "bellydance" and with this there are also many techniques. This can create confusion for a new dancer who may be taking classes from teachers who teach in different styles. No one technique is right or wrong just different based on that particular style. This is not to say there are not people out there teaching improper technique. There definitely are. So how does a beginner know what's good technique? What's bad technique?
