Sometimes a vibration is simply because a tire is out of balance, but sometimes it could be a symptom of something dangerous like this tire with a separated belt. In honor of Memorial Day Robert's Automotive will be closed Monday May 28, but we will be back at it on Tuesday.

Because of the more durable materials belts are made of nowadays it can make it more difficult to spot a belt that is need of replacement. Although cracks are a sure sign, using this tool you can clearly see with the new belt that the tool sits up above the belt surface, while on this worn out belt it sits flush and you can see daylight between the sides of the grooves and the tool indicating it is worn and in need of replacement.
