Is it just me, or is taking an afternoon to be creative the perfect cure for ending a busy week? Now, I know I don’t always take the time or give myself permission, but it really helps to reset my mind when I get my creative juices flowing. How do you reset yourself after a busy week?

Anyone out there (besides me!) ever have a perfect plan completely unravel? I can remember like yesterday the 6 weeks of work my clients and I poured into purchasing their first home. It would have been a home run, if not for a small series of unfortunate events including a broken down car, programming error, and just life, honestly.... The bad news is my client was unable to buy at this time. The good news is they have time to set up a new action plan and I can give you some quick tips about being prepared to purchase a home. Obviously, there is no where in the rule books that helps you when life gets in the way but here are some things you should avoid: + Make sure you don't open any new accounts - think credit cards, car loans, etc. and don't rack up large amounts of debts on your current accounts + Don't work in cash during the home loan process. You need to have a paper trail for all of your money. + Don't spend the money you have taken the time to save for your down payment unless it is going toward something involved in the purchase of your home. Who else ever watched their best laid plans go completely off the rails? Spill the tea!
