This week we want to recognize our amazing paralegal: Kindeya Scott. Kindeya is a native Atlantan and has been working with Rechtman & Spevak for 2 years. Prior to joining our team, she has proven herself as a trailblazer in the legal community through her involvement with the Gate City Bar Association Paralegal Section. She continuously makes great connections with our clients which helps her put their minds at ease throughout their case. Outside of the office Kindeya stays busy by being involved in the Georgia Chess Association, various kickball leagues, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Dantel Ruiz, Rechtman & Spevak’s newest attorney who specializes in criminal law. Although Dantel is originally from New York, she’s become very familiar with Atlanta through her time at Spelman College, Georgia State Law School, and now spending a year with us. Dantel says that her favorite part about working here is the small firm environment and camaraderie she experiences in the office. She especially enjoys working on the trickier cases and isn’t scared to go into litigation if it’s what’s best for her clients.

While we can’t wait to get back into the office, our staff has been doing a great job working from home. One of our lawyers even built herself a new desk!

This week we’d like to introduce you to our Senior Partner David Rechtman. After graduating from UCLA School of Law, David returned to his home city of Atlanta to practice law. Twenty five years later, David knows he made the right choice to go into personal injury and worker’s compensation. To this day, his favorite part of the job is getting to know each of his clients and learning the important details of their case so that he can have the largest impact on their recovery. Even outside of the office David tries to be there for his friends and family. During the quarantine he started a virtual film club to help others cope with isolation and boredom.
