Two months ago, Ana was struggling to breath from COVID-19 infection. She arrived at the Medical Center of Peach County, Navicent Health in great distress. She was sent for advanced care to Savannah where she was admitted to the ICU for more than a month. After completing her ICU stay which included a tracheostomy procedure (a tube placed in her windpipe to help her breath), Ana came to Rehabilitation Hospital, Navicent Health for recovery. Ana’s has this to say about h...er 3 week stay at RHNH: It’s great here. The staff here are wonderful and caring. I will miss them. Gary, her husband says, It has been scary. It’s been a long 2 months with her in an induced coma in ICU. We’re all so happy she is coming home. Ana and Gary have three children; Liana, 20, Adriel, 18, and Ezra, 11. Ana’s children and parents were not able to visit during her COVID illness. Ana had not hugged her children until today! As she left RHNH, her family was waiting outside to welcome her home. Ana hopes her story gives people hope that recovery is possible.

As the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases decline in Georgia, and following careful review of its policies and local novel coronavirus (COVID-19) data, Navicent Health has chosen to modify certain portions of its essential visitation policy. The essential visitation policy was put into place on March 12, 2020 to protect patients, visitors and caregivers from the threat of COVID-19. The changes are effective Tuesday, September 29, 2020. https://bit.ly/3cHrAgn

When Debra entered Rehabilitation Hospital, Navicent Health, she had mobility limitations as a result of a tumor. Upon arriving, she had no use of the left side of her body. Through the help of her care team, she has regained partial use of her left side and is able to stand up on her own and walk with assistance. I’ve been very fortunate to be here. I’ve had excellent nurses and therapists. Everybody here is so helpful. They all work as a team and are always willing to help out and stop what they are doing to help you at any time. Debra

One of the many benefits for this new clinic location is that it offers ample parking and easier access for those with disabilities. It will also provide dedicated space for patients to meet with their care team, which can include physicians, therapists and many others, This week, we announced the opening of The Clinics at Rehabilitation Hospital, Navicent Health, providing more space and easier access for those with neuromuscular conditions. Pelvic and lymphedema clinics..., as well as Parkinson's disease therapies, will be added to the location at a later date. https://wgxa.tv//rehabilitation-hospital-navicent-health-o
