#TestimonialTuesday "I started my career at RBA in 2007 when I was just 21 years old and newly married. I worked as an Administrative Assistant and I was consistently impressed by our patients’ unwavering commitment and strength through the testing and treatment process. Fast forward to 2015 when my husband and I decided we wanted to start a family. After a few months of TTC (trying to conceive), we thought something might be wrong so we consulted with Dr. Toledo for advic...e. I underwent an HSG as well as other testing only to find out I wasn’t ovulating. I was devastated and suddenly felt the intense pressure that our patients feel every day. I was prescribed Clomid and learned how to give myself the Ovidrel shot to induce ovulation. After a few months of feeling hopeless, we were blessed with a positive pregnancy test. Our son Eli is now 4 years old and we have recently been blessed with our daughter Sydney who has completed our family. My experience helped me see infertility through the lens of a patient, not just as an employee. It deepened my compassion for the couples that come through our doors so desperate for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. I am forever grateful to Dr. Toledo for his medical guidance and the ways that he and the rest of my work family supported me through the emotional highs and lows of my journey to parenthood. RBA has not only been a wonderful place to work for the past 13 years, but will always hold a special place in my heart for helping me become a mother." -Melissa, RBA Admin Manager, & Patient

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse..... We know the holidays can be a very difficult time for those struggling with infertility. And although the images of babies and success stories can inspire lots of hope, they can also bring great sadness. We want you to know we are thinking about all of you who are still waiting on your Christmas Miracles and we know in our hearts that we are going to do everything w...e can to give you the gift of parenthood! Merry (almost) Christmas to all, and to all a good night! With so much love, The RBA Family

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and so many of you in our community have suffered through and experienced this nightmare. Our hearts break for Chrissy Teigen & John Legend today as they recently announced the loss of their baby boy, Jack. Chrissy has always been a powerful voice in the infertility community- breaking all kinds of infertility stigmas and taboos. On behalf of RBA we want to extend our condolences to her & her family, and all those out there... suffering in situations just like hers during this very tough time. And let it serve as a reminder that infertility doesn't care about your fame or your financial status, it affects us all, and we should always be kind to others because you never know who might be suffering in silence. Here is Chrissy's Original Post: ******************************** We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough. . We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. . To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you. . Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you. . . We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it. #infertility #infertilityjourney #ivf #stillbirthawareness #stillborn #pregnancyloss #miscarriageawareness #ttc #RBAlove #1in4
