Last week our team had the opportunity to get away and laugh, connect, and rest. A word that was used at the end of the weekend to describe our time away was fulfilled. It’s one thing to like your job. It’s another thing to like who you do it with. ... #atlanta #altantatherapy #atlantatherapist #therapy #therapist #mentalhealth See more

If you are on a counseling journey, your counselor may be currently doing the heavy lifting of differentiating your anxiety and worries from the true inner knowing or intuition. This is our job and we love to do it. However, we also want to ensure that when we end our time with you (sheds gentle tear) that you are confident about and more highly attuned with your inner self. Jamie Miller, MA. Head on over to the #linkinbio to read more from Jamie about the importance of t...uning into your intuition. She explores: what is intuition? how can you tell the difference between anxiety and intuition? ways to develop your capacity to hear and trust your intuition. #atlanta #altantatherapy #atlantatherapist #therapy #therapist #mentalhealth #selflove #selfawarenessjourney #selfactualization #intuition #trustyourgut #trustyourintuition #trustyourself

On the blog, Ashlyn Burns, LAPC, addresses both the designed function of our nervous and the impact of chronic stress or trauma on our nervous system. The impact of a nervous system stuck in a flight, fight or freeze response can have a significant impact on mood, relationships, behavior and even physical symptoms in our body. Luckily, we are learning more and more from research about therapy based interventions that help our nervous system return to a state of balance and calm Click the #linkinbio to learn more or to schedule a session with one of our therapists. #atlanta #altantatherapy #atlantatherapist #therapy #therapist #mentalhealth #traumarecovery #traumahealing #traumatherapy #traumatherapist #somatichealing #somatictherapy #polyvagaltheoryintherapy #nervoussystemreset #nervoussystemregulation

Sometimes when we are feeling depressed, our motivation or desire to do anything really struggles. So much so that we can have trouble doing even the most basic of things like eating or taking a shower. If you find yourself here today, it’s important to reach out to someone whether that be a therapist or trusted family member/friend. Additionally, here’s a gentle reminder to return to the basics. Have you had a good and nourishing meal today?... Have you gotten outside? Maybe consider incorporating two 15 minute walks-one in the morning and one in the evening. Are you drinking water? It might also be helpful to stay away from excess caffeine or alcohol for the moment as you navigate feelings of depression. How are you sleeping? Are you getting too much or too little sleep? Who is at least one person you can reach out to to share how you’re feeling with or simply just ask them to be with you? Depression is hard. And you don’t have to go it alone. #atlanta #altantatherapy #atlantatherapist #therapy #therapist #mentalhealth #depression #depressionawareness #depressionhelp #selfcare

There is a lot happening in our world right now on an individual, national and global level. When we experience loss-of a dream, of a person we love, or a job-grief is a normal and appropriate response. A well meaning but not always helpful response to grief can be: time heals all wounds. Time is often not the healer of wounds but instead choosing to actively engage our grief can help bring us through. Head on over to the blog to check out Marissa Mundy’s, LPC, CPCS, two pa...rt blog posts reflecting on 4 phases designed to help actively engage grief with the purpose of moving toward healing. https://www.restorativeatlanta.com//t4t8xx0p0tvo8kx3fxwyzk What are some resources or responses that have helped you in your grief? #atlanta #altantatherapy #atlantatherapist #therapy #therapist #mentalhealth #grief #griefquotes #griefjourney #griefsupport #griefandloss #griefrecovery #griefcounseling
