High-rise fire training Crews trained on high-rise firefighting operations. Priorities during these operations include ensuring firefighter safety, being able to advance hoselines, and extinguishing the fire. Stairwells are critical in high-rise operations.
UPDATE: Mr. Tom is now crossing over Harris Trail on his way to RHFD Station 1. Mr. Tom Hill is walking to bring awareness to fire department-related illnesses, such as cancer, suicide and PTSD. He is currently walking on Hwy 17 in our area on his way to Charleston, South Carolina. ... If you drive by him, please show support with a wave or a friendly beep. Mr. Tom and members of his walking crew will be staying at RHFD Station 1 tonight. All are welcome to come by and talk with him about his experience.
Tonight Santa will be visiting Sterling Creek and Brisbon Hall between 5:30 and 8:30. Santa asked us to pass on the message that he is looking forward to visiting everybody but due to COVID he will be staying on the fire truck. Any changes in the schedule due to weather or Santa’s assistants (firefighters) having an emergency will be posted on RHFD’s FB page.
