Wanted to share our pretty big victory with you guys!! So our little man has been on a very slow continuous feed for the last couple of months due to him being unable to tolerate the bigger and faster feeds. His inability to tolerate them was also the cause for us having to switch from the feeding tube that went from his nose to stomach (NG) to the feeding tube that went from his nose to his small intestines (NJ) I am so happy to say that not only have we gone back to the fee...ding tube that goes from nose to stomach (NG) but he has also been doing bolus feeds (Normal feeds every 3 hours) for the past FIVE DAYS with NO complications or vomiting!!!! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!! And I’d also like to add that he has taken a total of about 4 ounces BY MOUTH!!!!!!! Something they said he wouldn’t be able to do again!!!! We work every day on our sucking reflex and he is getting so much better with it! I know this may not seem like much to some, but gosh this is huge for us. With Kit being able to tolerate normal feeds throughout the day, we will be able to increase his daily calorie intake... where before he was only getting enough to sustain and maintain... now we can start gaining some weight!!! I can’t thank you all enough for the continued prayers and support WE AREN’T GIVING UP ON OUR COWBOY!!!!
