Ritterkunst Fechtschule

This Saturday, June 5th, we will again be at the Ga Renaissance Fair! Come look for us at the pavilion, marked with our banners, and make sure to stop by to watch us in fight in our armor! We have demos at 12:00 and 4:30pm on the Joisting Field. Please share this post with your friends so they know we will be there and come say hi! We’ll also have some equipment to handle and can get you the info they’ll need to start training with us! It was great to meet so many interesting people and sharing our hobby at the Faire on Sunday! Thank you to all who stopped to talk with us, and we hope you will soon be crossing swords with us!

Happy to announce that we have been invited to do several demos soon. Two days will be at the Ga Renaissance Fair Sunday 30th and Saturday, June 5th. If you are out please stop by and say hello. Times will be ~ 1:30 and 3:30pm. There should be a daily schedule available. ... We will have our pavilion setup near the Queens Court I believe. https://www.garenfest.com

Locally to the school there were 289 cases of Covid-19 yesterday. While we had the school open we were seeing ~15-30 a day and a bad day being 50. We have decided not to open the school yet for 2021 until these numbers go down and hopefully we can get vaccinated as soon as possible. Stay safe, wear a mask in public and practice at home.

Celebrating the end of 2020 here at Ritterkunst Fechtschule. We want to thank everyone who joined our school this year; outdoor classes, masks, 90+ and below freezing temperatures, we all came together to learn. We would like to recognize a few. Ross - thank you very much for teaching Swordsmanship this year, it was excellent and we are happy to have you as one of our instructors.... Will - thank you for your professional metal working and knowledge you volunteered to tailor harness so they will fit. Stan - thank you for your encouragement and help in negotiating how to get into harness and loaned out his own gear so many could share in this experience. Emily thank you for enriching us all. Ritterkunst Cookies! The Freifechter song! - she can play instruments, sing and fight with a sword. Thank you all for your friendship and for making Ritterkunst Fechtschule what it is. Celebrating the end of 2020 classes At Ritterkunst Fechtschule this week. Outside all year. It may be a new thing for most of our classes. We have cookies! Thanks to Emily for her inspiration, generosity and creativity. Many could not join us. Thank you to everyone who showed wisdom and led by example keeping us all safe at the school this year.
