It can strengthen the torso, condition the muscles, and increase p...hysical power by using the mind to lead the Chi (Chi or Qi - your inner energy). In Tai Chi Chuan, Ball Chi Gong training was once a major training tool to enhance Pushing Hands ability. However, due to its secrecy, fewer and fewer people have learned it. Today the art of Tai Chi Ball training is almost unknown, however, Dr Yang, who I follow, is working to rekindle this type of traditional training. In this video I'm having fun, after practicing Tai Chi, playing with a two pound soft ball. My goal is not to grab the ball, but just hold it in the palms of my hands, breathe, and benefit from the exercises. There are many different routines I teach depending on a person's level and fitness. Regular Chi Gong practice accelerates the health benefits of Tai Chi. Announcement The RMA Robotics Team The Eagle Bots will start the season with meeting on August 14 Wednesday during GSA from 4:00 pm till 5:30 pm. Wednesdays is our day for the Robotic Club to meet. You will learn robot concepts, build and program robots, learn about robot competition, scholarship opportunities, and conduct other team functions. Points are earned for each session attended and it counts toward winning a spot on the team. Location: Lanier Hall, 3rd floor, r...oom 304. Exception: Holidays What We Do Once the team has been formed, team members will work together to learn, build, program and test robots with the guidance of adult mentors/coaches. The RMA Eagle Bots Team will then practice and compete on the big day with their robots as family and friends cheer from the stands. We're planning on entering two robot leagues this year - VEX (VRC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). But before we do - each member is considered a candidate and have to earn their role on the team. That means that attendance is crucial to being a successful team member. You will (not your coach) design the robots using computer aided design software, build the robots from scratch using man tools, write programming code for the bots to work and get team ready for Robotics Competition. About VEX In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April! About FRC Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it the hardest fun you’ll ever have. Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship. RMA Eagle Bots Host Bowl Painting Event Riverside Military Academy Robotics Team lead the way and hosted a bowl painting event on April 11, 2019 in support of Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s Annual Empty Bowl Luncheon which is to take place on Sept 24, 2019. The event at RMA resulted in 41 bowls being beautifully painted that will help to provide 6150 meals while increasing awareness of food insecurity in our area. It was also a great exercise for team building and learning abou...t and taking action in giving back to our community. The cadets, faculty, and friends community service is greatly appreciated. We are so blessed and grateful for your service. Thank you cadets, faculty and staff and friends from the community who came to our event and participated or donated.
