#tbt exactly 2 years ago when our renovations were starting. This video is of the barn in the back after the floor boards had all been pulled up. The barn (or '3rd building') was originally built in the 1850’s to house the horses and carriages for visitors to the Powder Springs' Hotel. Next it was a black smith shop, then cotton storage, and then mostly storage until we got ahold of it. Through delicate work, we preserved the entire existing exterior of the barn and basically... built a new building on the inside. Hopefully this preserves the building for at least another 100 years. In an effort to keep the building rooted in its original uses, @hardywoodworks now occupies it, making custom wood furniture and housewares. A couple years ago we had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas around this time of the year. Most trips we take we try to have a good balance of ‘city time’ and ‘non-city time’. Hence where our Life Needs Balance design came from. This time in Vegas we headed out to the desert and rented a RZR for an awesome day of riding, site seeing, and adrenaline rushes. It only took about an hour to get there and transported us to a world that was completely different than you would thin...k of when ‘Vegas’ comes to mind. It was our first time really experiencing the desert in this way, and it was understandably addicting. Our trip was quick but checked ALL of the boxes for an unbelievable experience.
