Roswell Kids originally planned to return in person on Sunday, January 10, at 10 a.m. We have been closely watching the numbers in our local communities and in consultation with church leadership have decided that out of an abundance of caution we will delay our return to meeting in-person on Sunday mornings. You are still invited to Worship on Wheels, which kicks off this Sunday, January 10th and continues monthly. Bring your wheeled fun (bikes, skates, etc) to the Sanctua...ry parking lot from 2-3 p.m. and participate in fellowship and worship with the RUMC community. Roswell Kids will continue to provide Sunday School moments and Breakfast with Jesus devotionals on the Roswell Kids’ Facebook page, as well as other family faith experiences for at-home use. Look for more opportunities to engage in fellowship, worship, and growth in the coming months. It is a privilege to partner with you, our families and volunteers, and we want to honor you by doing all we can to offer exciting, fun, and safe ways to gather and grow in community and faith. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Roswell Kids Staff. Sincerely, Rev. Melissa Kime-Hall, Lorin Tate, and Bev Bearden

Join Roswell Kids for an afternoon of free-wheelin’ fun and worship on Sunday, Jan. 10 from 2-3 p.m. Children (preschool 5th grade) are invited to bring their bikes, trikes, skates, and any other wheeled fun (non-motorized). We’ll wheel around the Sanctuary parking lot and join together for a time of worship and prayer. While the kids are wheeling, parents will gather around for a time of fellowship (while remaining socially distanced). You are welcome to bring chairs or b...lankets. Masks and helmets are required. RSVP to let us know you’re coming, but drop-ins are welcomed. This will be a monthly event. https://my.rumc.com/portal/event_detail.aspx?id=19534
Your fourth and fifth graders are invited to a Virtual Gingerbread House party tomorrow at 2 p.m.! We'll gather together via zoom for some holiday chat, a devotional, and a chance to build gingerbread houses together. BUT if your kid is welcome to join even if they don't build a house! RSVP here: https://my.rumc.com/portal/event_detail.aspx?id=19524

Join us for the Sunday School moment as we talk about Jesus' birth and how we can have joy even when things might not go as we expect them.
This week, we're learning that Jesus brings joy and that we can have joy even when things don't go as expected. This lesson is important for us too! We're experiencing some technical difficulties posting the Sunday School video this morning. We will get it up as soon as possible! We're remembering to still have joy even though things didn't go as planned. <3
Happy birthday Ms. Bev! We are so thankful for your generous heart and passion for sharing the Good News of Christ. We are so thankful for all of your hard work to provide worship for children, create videos, and celebrate the birth of Christ through Journey to the Manger. Share some love for Ms. Bev in the comments.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered and all of those who drove through a Journey to the Manger. May you go and share the Good News that the promised messiah- Emmanuel, God with us- has been born.

We invite you to continue to pray for the Lloyd family and baby Caroline. Today, we ask you to pray for guidance and wisdom for Jeff and Marlena as they are in the midst of making some difficult decisions in the course of treatment for Caroline. We pray that they will feel God’s presence and guidance through these difficult days. Thank you for being their community that covers them in love and prayer.
Dear Roswell Kids Families, We wanted to share some news with you that is both sad and exciting. Meghan Walter, Director of Young Children's Ministry, will be transitioning from her current position to go serve at Birmingham UMC in Milton, GA as the Director of Church Media and Communications on December 1. We will miss Meghan's presence on the Children and Families Team, but are grateful for the work she has done over the past few years to build the ministry and to connect y...oung families to this place of community and faith. We are also excited for her to share her immense talents in new and different ways. Join us in thanking, congratulating, and praying for Meghan. With love, Roswell Kids Rev. Caroline Lloyd - age 5 months old - is in the hospital fighting. On October 24th, she was admitted with two respiratory illnesses and swelling in her spine. In the coming days, doctors are going to attempt extubate Caroline to get her off the ventilator. The extent of her neurological issues suffered from this are not yet fully known. Caroline still has a long hospital stay ahead of her. We ask that you consider adding this family to your daily prayers. We also ask that you ...consider signing up for a specific day(s) to cover the family in prayer. As one might imagine, the parents - Jeff & Marlena - covet all the encouragement and support, and their faith in God and hope for their young daughter is keeping them going. Big sisters (yet still so young, ages 2&5) are also struggling with missing mom, dad and baby sister. Our tagline for RUMC is a place of community and faith, and now is the chance to be a community for this family through our prayers in faith to our loving God. You can sign up for a specific day to here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090e44a9a72aa5fa7-prayers

This week we learned about Sarah having a son named Isaac, which means laughter. At dinner, talk as a family about the significance and meaning of each of your names. Know that no matter what you are named, you are called a child of God.
Be sure to sign up for the next Family Activity Book! We just need your name and address and we'll send it to you for your family to use it Dec. - Feb. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx
