When are we reopening? That is a question we have been getting a lot lately. While Kathleen and I are glad you can't wait until the Roo is open again and we certainly do miss you, too, there are several things that need to occur before we can reopen. 1. Running water in the shop. As many of you are aware, construction at the Roo is moving right along. We are anxious for you to see the new kitchen and bathroom addition once it is completed. However, at the moment, we do not h...ave a water supply in the shop. 2. Thoroughly clean and sanitize the shop. Once we have hot water, we will be able to do a deep clean and thoroughly sanitize the shop and keep it clean and sanitized. 3. We have to be able to comply with the guidelines for reopening. Since one of the things folks like to do in our shop is to sit down, drink coffee and eat a pastry or two, and the Roo is only 375 square feet, we would have to rearrange the shop in such a way as to allow appropriate physical distancing (6 feet) and limit the number of people in the Roo to 7 at a time. 4. Access to hand sanitizer so that customers can use it as they are entering and leaving the shop. 5. Ensure that it is safe for us to open not only for ourselves, but for you, our valued customers. Rest assured, we will be back with coffee, pastries, pies, sandwiches, soups and salads. Plus all the other goodies you like to buy: art, wooden bowls, pottery, farm fresh eggs, cheese, butter, beer, wine, jams, salsas, and veggies. In the meantime, we are happy to meet you at the shop and assist you with purchasing items and hopefully later this week we will be launching our on line store which will allow you to make purchases and schedule a no contact pick-up. Take care everyone- Jamie and Kathleen

We hope everyone is doing well. We miss seeing you each weekend, but think it's important to keep everyone safe by staying home. While we've had to be closed, our construction had continued. The framing, siding, windows, electrical, and plumbing are coming along nicely. We were able to order Dutch shiplap siding like that used for the original part of the building. Thanks, Ronnie, at @Fareway Building Supplies in Washington. We can't wait to show you the finished project. Charlie Roberts at @CSR construction is doing a great job getting our new kitchen addition ready. We look forward to when we can share a cup of coffee and conversation with you all.
