We had a great day of striking, hip throws and sparring drills. I learned that saying butt instead of hips is the key to unlocking better throws. #strongermartialarts

Today is KRX’s 3rd birthday. I’m so grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey. Opening this gym is the riskiest thing I’ve ever done in my life and KRX would not be here if it wasn’t for the faith and support so many people have given me. ... Karate RX’s mission will always be to make a deep impact in a small group of people who are willing to put in the work. Our belts will always have measurable standards to earn. Students will be mentally and physically stronger by experiencing and overcoming failure on the path to black belt and beyond. We will continue to improve curriculum, not so we can be bigger, but so our students can be better. Thank you past and present students for being here and making it possible to do something I love. ~ Coach Sean #strongermartialarts #notcrying

Yena and Addie have been at KRX for over a year now and it’s been so fun seeing them pushed passed their comfort zone. Addie has more confidence in what she is doing,is punching harder then ever on the pads, and using more weight in our workouts. Yena is always kind and caring for her fellow students in and out of class. She helps anyone who needs it and gives gifts for every occasion. She is also diligently working toward earning her 2nd Degree Black Belt - even when it is...n’t easy. I’m so proud to have this duo in our adult class and families like them here! #strongermartialarts #motherdaughter

I saw this and I just had to take a picture. Look at that foot position and attention to detail. This is Cooper drilling his foot positioning in class today. He focused on keeping his toes side ways and heel pointed out without any extra prompting or interference. ... Cooper didn’t walk in like this. He shows up to karate every week and works hard. His focus is growing stronger every day with his discipline. Martial arts is built to make anyone more focused and confident, but the changes I see in young men who start is absolutely amazing. Anyway, great kick Cooper. #strongermartialarts

We’ll be talking about respect this rotation. Our goal is to teach value and the necessity of respecting others as well as ourselves through actions, not only words. #strongermartialarts #inspiration #respect #motivation

Congratulations and welcome Will. Will started training here a little over a month ago, but he had a full year of martial arts training before moving here. He worked hard in class learning new curriculum and preparing for his orange belt test. ... Today he aced his test (he can already box jump 20inches!) and finally has a belt to wear to class! Thank you for being here Will! Great job! #strongermartialarts

Failure is only the end when you give up. We’ve had so many huge moments with our students the past few weeks. We’re going to talk about this guy tonight. ... Two months ago Ethan failed his Blue Belt Test. There were a lot of small things that needed to be fixed before he earned his belt. Ethan didn’t give up, he showed up the next week and was more focused than ever. He worked hard to improve every technique on his test and he aced it a few weeks ago. Failure is a great teacher. It never feels good, but when we push through it we always come out stronger. We’re very proud of you for not giving up and the work you put in to improve Ethan! #strongermartialarts
