Savannah Arts Academy Theatre

An interest meeting for the NY Masterclass Trip will be held on October 30th at 5:30 p.m. in room 111. All students and their parents who are interested in participating in the trip should attend the meeting. The trip, costs, and fundraising opportunities will be discussed.

Makeup Artists Needed: Costume Workshop 10/26/18 at 3 p.m. in room 111: Of the three (3) people who signed up, only one has paid. Payment must be received no later than Thursday. Cost is $20.00 per person. Individuals still wanting to participate should see Mr. Lundin as the sign up sheet has been taken down. If there is a financial obstacle, 4 scholarships are being offered. Reminders: Chicago Makeup Workshop today at 3 p.m. in room 111 Thespians: Thespian Constitution Agreement/Dues and ThesCon Payments must be turned in. The deadline to submit ThesCon forms has passed and no additional forms will be accepted. Chicago Cast: Be sure you know what rehearsal you need to attend this week. Rehearsal on Thursday is music only in the Choir room. A new event is being added to the Thespian community service list and we need your help. Please see the callboard to sign up to perform or to bring refreshments on October 12th at 6 p.m. for a variety show to raise money to help buy bicycles for young people with disabilities. Good morning SAA Theatre students and Thespians. Acting I, Acting II, and Theatre Literature will have a long term sub for most of the month of October. Please welcome Mr. Shuman, work hard, and be respectful. Mr. Shuman and I have talked, and he will be working to advance the work of Ms. Cook. Parents: Please help your students plan and communicate. We are already experiencing difficulties in these areas. Mandatory meetings and rehearsals must be honored in order to maintain fluency and unity. Excessive absences will result in a student's removal from that event or organization. The performance contract and the Thespian Constitution address this topic. Thank you for your support and assistance. Chicago Cast: Choreography Rehearsal; Saturday, 9.29.18 Cell Bloc...k Tango 9:30 - 11:00 All others 11:00 - 2:00 If you have spoken with Mr. Lockley and have been excused from rehearsal, you must still report to Mr. Lundin today. If you fail to communicate with Mr. Lundin, your absence will not be excused. The director and the stage manager track your absences not the choreographer. Communicating with the director and stage manager is the student's responsibility. Everyone: Be sure to check the callboard for upcoming workshops. Workshop: 10/12/18, Room 111 @ 4:30 p.m. Costume Basics and Design (Chicago Emphasis) Required for all members of the Chicago costume crew. Open to any Theatre Major or Thespian Student. Additional information will be provided as it comes available.

24 Hour Play Festival: Meeting today after school in room 111 for anyone interested in participating in the 24 Hour Play Festival hosted by SAA Theatre. Looking for playwrights, directors, and actors. Come to the meeting and learn more about it. Students involved in Chicago who are interested in participating should see Mr. Tucker prior to the meeting so that he is aware of your interest. No one from Chicago is excused from rehearsal for the meeting. Chicago Rehearsal: To clarify: Music from 3-4 today in the choir room; Choreography from 4-6 in the dance studio. No one is excused form these rehearsal unless you have been told specifically by Mr. Lundin, Mr. Lockley, Mr. Register, or have already submitted an absence notification and it was approved by Mr. Lundin.
