We took this opportunity to share with the community all of the Safeguards that we are adopting to minimize the possibility of exposure in our salon. We will continue sharing our ideas tomorrow with CNN, WSB, Fox five, AJC and the Cherokee Tribune. it is important to us to share all of the layers that go into our decision to open for business. To our valued guests. In light of the hundreds of calls, text and emails that we have received regarding our possible opening, we wanted to update you on where Salon Gloss stands In light of governor Kemp’s press conference. Our first priority during this pandemic is the health and safety of our staff and our clientele.We are working on plans to restructure the way in which we conduct our business operations. We need to make sure that we proceed with caution & are able to pr...otect our stylists, guests, and their families. Within the mandates set forward, there are many restrictions such as amount of people allowed in the business, sanitizing standards, and mask & glove requirements. Therefore, when we reopen our doors, we will require a check of each client and staff members temperature with a forehead thermometer, which will be disinfected after each use. We will require the use of a 99% hand sanitizer, that we will provide and the use of vinyl gloves and face masks, which we will also provide, for all staff and clients. Staff members will have the added barrier of face shields.Stations will outfitted with hand sanitizer and be separated 8 ft apart. We will schedule a 10 minute disinfecting/ sanitizing between each client and ALL surfaces will be disinfected and sanitized at the top of each hour. We will also suggest that each client download Zelle for a touch free checkout which will prevent any contact at the point of check out. With this new approach, we feel confident that we will begins serving our guests on Friday April24th. The salon will be staffed Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd to rebook all previously scheduled appointments and to take new appointments. We are extremely excited to be back in the salon doing what we love and serving our community, however it MUST be with changes and we MUST do so responsibly.
