Salt and Light 29.06.2021

Matthew 3:7-12 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut do...wn and thrown into the fire. I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire. If you have any prayer requests post them here and we will pray!!!

"Now, Master, You can dismiss Your slave in peace, as You promised. For my eyes have seen Your salvation."... -Luke 2:29-30 We see Christ in worship, teaching, preaching, love, redemption, salvation, and everywhere else ministry wise in our personal lives. This verse talks about how we should aim our lives at Christ and to do all things in His name. In this verse, Simeon is seen saying this because he has finally seen Christ and can finally die. That is what Salt & Light is all about. Our goal is to reach people of all kinds of backgrounds either Christian or not. Like Christ we accept you for you. I invite you to tell someone about this class as we go forward in Christ to reach the world. We will be in Luke 12:49-59 this Sunday and hope to see you there at 9:30, Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville, and after that we'll go listen to a great pastor. Before ending this, I want to thank Chip Moore for allowing Dan and I to grow more spiritual in Christ. Chip, you've been my mentor for years and we hope that God will lead you in this new chapter of yours. Thank you for all that you've done for Dan and I. Now it's time to start a movement of God in our community!
