SAMA Self Defense Training

What is the difference between MMA, BJJ, and Self Defense Training? BJJ is a great tool in your overall self defense toolbox. In the right situation, you could use it to completely control and dominate your assailant. Use it in the wrong situation and you can end up dead. All MMA type training is very useful, but it is focused on a one v one ego based outcome. (I’ll show that bully something when I knock his big mouth shut or tap him out). This is fine until (God forbid) you ...encounter someone (or several someones) that are intent on killing you where there are no rules or protections. Guns, knives, pipes, multiple attackers etc. anything goes. Way too many really skilled fighters have gotten killed or badly injured because of this type of thinking. Make sure you add some realistic Self Defense Training to your competitive skills training. See more
