Elizabeth here. And clearly not in Savannah. Because we don’t have one of these. And by these I mean aircraft carrier. I came up to Charleston last night for a little half work/half play weekend getaway with my friend Barb. I have to do this social media thing for this hotel. It’s on the water, you should come up & stay for the weekend! Ok, twist my arm. She literally asked me every day for the past two weeks if I was still coming. What she did not mention though was that... the hotel had a view of an aircraft carrier parked right beside it! While I was planning on coming up regardless, this little fact would’ve sealed the deal. You see, my dad flew fighters before he was an airline pilot. I think the story goes that he flunked out of LSU three times (for having a little too much fun), and then joined the Louisiana Air National Guard. One day they were taking volunteers for pilots, and he raised his hand. He used to say that going straight up and straight down at Mach 3 was better than chasing women. Also, a little known fact about me is that owning an aircraft carrier is on my bucket list. I’m going to need y’all to do some serious shopping to help make that crazy dream happen! (You can come play on it too, I promise! We’ll have a really big party.) Ok, now time to go run the Ravenel Bridge in the background of this photo! Then, beer. Happy Saturday y’all, cheers!!!
