Friendly reminder: don't leave diapers (or any sanitary products) at the river! They belong in trash cans -- even if you have to put it back in your car to take with you until you reach a trash can.

It’s almost time for this year’s annual Satilla River cleanup! While we are unable to meet as a group this year, the Satilla Riverkeeper invites volunteers to come out to the river on September 19th, choose their own cleanup location, and gather in a small group (your family or household) to conduct a cleanup while keeping a safe distance from others. *Dumpsters will be located at Highway 121 Landing on the Satilla and Ava Lightsey Landing in Atkinson on Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are welcome to dispose of their haul in these dumpsters. Fill out and submit a data sheet detailing the type of trash you found to get a thank you prize! Visit our website for more information on this year's cleanup, as well as for tips on how to conduct your own cleanup! https://www.satillariverkeeper.org/cleanup.html
