Savannah Children's Choir

The Board of Trustees of the Savannah Children’s Choir would like to update our entire community on the state of the SCC. While we have just concluded an enriching and fun virtual summer camp and a summer leadership retreat (this, after completing our 2019-20 season online via SCC Connects!), due to the restrictions and realities brought to all of us by the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person choral rehearsals and performances are functionally impossible to execute. These conditi...ons, along with the uncertainty relating to in person school attendance in our area, require our organization to pause our 2020-21 regular rehearsal and performance season. To plan for success under the new normal for choirs and choral education, our leadership, families, and other community stakeholders will take steps to remain engaged with our members and the community. When we can all come back together again and sing, SCC will be ready, and needed more than ever, to fulfill our mission: To unite, mentor, and transform Savannah’s children into responsible, creative, and confident leaders through excellence in choral performance and music education.
