TODAY'S FOCUS: THE JAB The Drill: Jab only during sparring for one guy, all strikes a little lighter for the other. MMA is the sum of a combination of Martial Arts and here at SCC we value Boxing highly. The H-Defense is a must for your jiu jitsu if you're talking self defense or fighting. It will also help you close the distance safely to use wrestling and/or judo effectively in fighting and safe self defense. Boxing teaches you:... 1) How to protect your head. 2) How to effectively control the distance. 3) How to keep your feet firmly on the ground. 4) How to move really fast left and right (laterally). 5) How to ring someone's bell and change the tone. Boxing is a building block martial arts for any and all Combat Sports athletes and Self Defense Practitioners. Don't be the submission grappler that doesn't know what to do when the punches start flying and IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW

@Josh Alexander will step back in the cage for his second outing July 24th in Orlando. I'm pretty sure there will be a PPV, we can organize a viewing party.

A brother on brother training sesh

We offer youth and adult boxing classes, mixed martial arts classes, combat grappling classes, personal training and fighter management. The first class is always free and we also love to trade services with clients and businesses. For example we give free personal training sessions in exchange for beautiful artwork like this or free t-shirt printing or advertising in our gym.

Free Yoga Sundays are returning! All that we ask is that you bring a clothing donation for Coastal Harbor Kids! They are asking for warm clothes right now. It is a temporary home for troubled children in Savannah. I the event is outside and we will be enforcing social distancing. Absolutely love solo technique drilling!!! It's all about honing the moves and the individual movements that make up the moves.

In these trying times our health is paramount and so we continue our happiness through health crusade. We'll be starting some videos with at home options in the near future, stay tuned.

No Youth Session Today Due to Seasonal Flooding. The front door of the gym has three to six inches of water In front of it at the moment. 6:30 p.m. pending depending on drainage and cleanup.

Free Yoga class in downtown Savannah Sunday March 8th at 11 am at Savannah Combat Club taught by Erin McCoy. All gym members and guests welcome. Newcomers welcome! First boxing class is free.
