As many of you know, I love what I do! However, the lack of Critical Thinking is probably the biggest thing that Peeves me about the "Industry of Massage Therapy" as a whole. The more I learn and research, the more I don't know what exactly happens when I massage people or why it helps. Do I want to help people? YES! Do I belive my massages help people? YES! Review from last week. It is edited slightly because the client was not a Native English Speaker. This review genuinely touched my My favorite part was, "I felt Safe and Secure." This one of my personal #1 GOALS in my practice. Many of us struggle with anxiety which can make getting on a massage table apprehensive. Others have been hurt by LMTs when the work has been too much for their body. While I am not perfect, I strive to make my office and touch a blend of COMFORTI...NG AND THERAPUTIC. It's a hard goal for me to describe accurately in words because words are not my strong suit. Dear Clients and Friends who are ready to book your massage, I highly recommend you watch this video before receiving a service even though it's an educational resource for Massage Therapist. These are the guidelines established by ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and other Massage Associations. They were made in accordance with the CDC, WHO, and OSHA guidlines. Many of you have called or text to see if I am open after the governor's speech. I want to first of all say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I can assure you that this will pass, and that I will return to my office once it is safe to do so. Unfortunately, I am not confident at this point in time that opening my office is in your best interest. I understand that many of you seek massage to help alleviate pain and help manage symptoms of chronic diseases. At the same t...ime, many of you are also considered in the AT RISK category because of this I plan to remain closed for the time being. I plan on opening May 1st IF the numbers look stable. It is ultimately my consideration of your overall health and wellbeing that gives me pause. I miss each and everyone of you. I pray you and your family are Healthy and Blessed.
