We hope everyone is having a great start to their new year. Here is a behind the scenes look at a recent 37,500 LB load test we performed in Graniteville, SC.

Cool project we completed last month. This is a cargo helicopter for the US Army being weighed on a custom scale system. The scale is comprised of three 15' x 5' x 5" platforms with ramps from Cambridge Scale Works. We paired the system with a 920i Rice Lake indicator and four Laser Light remote displays. The battalion was very pleased with the way the project turned out.

A few weeks ago Scale South was given the honor of the first VIP tour at the new Jasper, AL manufacturing facility for Rice Lake Weighing Systems. Our VIP flight crew consisted of (left to right) Stacy Moore (Scale South Business Manager), Mike Bordino (Rice Lake Regional Sales Director), Scott McKillip (Scale South President), Jack Baker (Scale South Senior Technician) and Amanda Zahner (Scale South Administration). We would like to thank Mike Bordino, Bruce Schmidt (our ama...zing pilot), and the always top notch staff at Rice Lake for this informative tour. The Jasper, AL facility is currently building truck scales and it was a knowledgeable experience to see first-hand how the product is made from start to finish. We were also given an in-depth presentation on the different models of truck scales they manufacture and the different applications that they are appropriate for, as well as the advantages of their products over other brands.
