Today's employee of the week is Vivian! Vivian comes to us from Sea World in Orlando! She found SeaVentures by way of a lifeguarding class with Tori in the fall. One thing led to another after her certification - shortly after her class, she became SeaVentures' newest sales associate! Vivian is also a NAUI Divemaster and will be working on her SSI Assistant Instructor certification this spring! She is an incredibly hard worker with a voracity to learn and absorb as much information as possible. She is working so hard on her training to be an excellent sales associate, and we are so happy to have her as a part of the team! Next time you're in the shop, be sure to say hi to Vivian!

The Jupiter FL Shark Trip in February still has a few spots left! This time of year, lemon sharks migrate from the waters of North and South Carolina and congregate along the reefs in Jupiter. The sharks arrive in groups and favor a few specific locations. Divers and underwater photographers can get up close and personal with the sharks in their natural habitat. If encountering a large marine animal makes you nervous, consider taking a Shark Ecology course. Complete two guided dives with your instructor and finish the day with the coolest certification! For today's #SwimStoriesSunday, we are highlighting Finnley & Tripp! Finnley started with SeaVentures 5 years ago as a Tadpole level. Through the years, she has progressed all the way to Swim Team Prep! Tripp started with us at 3 years old as a Jellyfish (beginner level) and over the past few years has worked his way up to Starfish! ... We asked the kids what their favorite part of swim lessons is --- Tripp said his favorite part of swim lessons is diving. Finnley said her favorite part was treading water while holding a brick! We asked mom why she's stuck with SeaVentures for so long, and she said, "The school is focused on advancing the swimmers based on their abilities and not their age. We had actually been at another school for a bit and our daughter couldn’t move up a level because she was too young despite mastering all the skills. At SeaVentures, Finnley’s been able to excel and learn all her strokes by age 7, even if it means she’s in class with 11 year olds! Her amazing coach, Anna, pushes her to try new things (like holding a brick!) that will likely be difficult for her but ultimately motivates her to work hard. We love Seaventures and have for years!" The SeaVentures SSI Scuba Rangers Program is designed for young divers, children eight and older. This exciting program includes five separate classroom and pool sessions of about four hours each. For today's #SwimStoriesSunday we are highlighting Alexa and Elodie!! Alexa and Elodie's family have been taking swim lessons with us for almost three years now. Alexa started with us when she was around 3 and a half years old. Her younger sister Elodie started at around two and a half! Both girls started as beginners. Alexa is now swimming laps across the pool and diving in by herself, and Elodie is working hard every week to matching her sister's swim abilities! When we ask...ed what their favorite part about lessons was, they said their teachers Ms. Tori and Ms. Anna, and diving for rings. Mom told us they have stuck with SeaVentures through the years because "it's right in our neighborhood and we prefer to support local small business. We love the school year program!
