Seeds of Life Farm 24.01.2021

Hi everyone. Haven’t been on here in a while but chatting with someone this morning and I’ve realized I need to come back here. Things that are going on around the farm: since February 2nd we have been blessed with 6 lambs. 3 rams and 3 ewes. We have the barn repaired and the chickens are already in there. We’re getting 4-5 eggs per day from our girls. We’ve been working on our raised garden beds trying to get them ready for planting (soon I hope). But here at the house we have radishes, carrots, spinach, kale, garlic, tomatoes and beets (I’m sure I left something out) all planted and coming up. Hope you all are staying safe. Have a wonderful day and may God bless you all.

According to the old testament, it was a sin to work on the Sabbath. In the New testament, Jesus plucked corn from the field to feed himself and his deciples. The Pharisees asked him why he had done such a thing. That it was work and wrong. Jesus reply was this.... If you see your cow sick in the mud, would you not tie a rope to him and pull him out? What is the greater sin? To work and save the cow or to let the cow die? We are planting today on the farm. Yes it's Sunday. This farm is a gift from God and we should do something in it everyday. We are to be about our fathers work daily. Have a blessed Sunday. Love to all.

Working a farm isn't always pretty. Today we're "processing" some of our chickens. I figure we're getting about 2 pounds of meat per chicken. Some say it's cruel but our chickens have been very well fed and they get to roam around and get the nutrients and minerals from foliage and the ground. They eat the things that God intended them to eat and we will reap the befits of eating healthy farm raised meat. I pray everyone has a blessed day.
