There is still time to be a blessing to a child in need this Christmas. Come in to the salon (or give us a call at 770-627-5018) and get an ornament designating an item to purchase off of our giving tree. We plan to collect all the gifts by this Wednesday, so the time to participate is now. Thank you for all of your support, and Merry Christmas!

Shades Salon is collecting Christmas gifts for the students at Compton Elementary school in Powder Springs, a school where 90% of the families are below the poverty line. We are sponsoring 20 students for personal belongings such as clothing, shoes, socks, etc. Also, each child has a wish list of three items. If you’d like to help out, you can get an ornament with an item to purchase off of our giving tree. We will be delivering all the goods on December 9.

We hope that everyone has been staying safe and healthy while you’ve been sheltering in place. We are looking forward to re-opening the salon this Friday, April 24 according to the Georgia government guidance regarding operating at this time. The safety of our clients and our staff is of the utmost importance. As you can imagine, getting everybody scheduled after being closed will be quite a challenge. We will be calling to confirm appointments that are already on the books a...nd will call those who missed their appointments while we were closed to reschedule. If you are looking for an appointment or need to reschedule your appointment, please feel free to call the salon. We are taking every precaution regarding sanitization and safety precautions. Shades Salon staff will continue sanitizing before and after each client by wiping down stations, styling chairs, and shampoo sinks and chairs with disinfectant wipes or spray. Common areas will be disinfected throughout the day. All Shades staff will be wearing protective face masks while working at the salon. We request that you come alone to your appointment. Clients waiting for their appointment will be asked to wait in their cars. Most importantly, if you are feeling sick, have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or have been exposed to someone with the corona virus, please do not come to the salon. We kindly ask that you call to reschedule your appointment. We encourage you to wear a mask to your appointment. Clients will be asked to wash their hands when they arrive, will have their temperature taken and will be asked questions about their symptoms and exposure. To our valued patrons: Under the new order issued by our state governor and our county commission, Shades Salon will be suspending business through (at least) April 24th. We value your business and look forward to getting back to work. In the meantime, stay safe and take care of yourselves. Feel free to call after our local and state governments have lifted the "direct contact" order. We are all in this together and we look forward to seeing you again.
